One Step Touching for a Healthy Life

At The J*eun Nursing Home in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, the rehabilitation device Walkmate has been introduced to help seniors regain their daily lives. It’s becoming more than just a place of care it’s transforming into a space of recovery, where seniors walk and move again.

Through Walkmate, seniors have gained strength and confidence, and are now even able to sit up on their own by holding onto the bedside. As their fear faded, they began stepping out of their rooms and actively participating in various programs.

“Please give me the walker — I want to try,” some seniors began asking, requesting a walking aid on their own. Walkmate has become a source of positive change for everyone providing a safe walking environment for seniors, and reducing physical strain for caregivers.

Most remarkable of all is the fact that four seniors recovered their health and were able to leave the nursing home. Watching someone who once remained bedridden walk out to the parking lot using a walker on their own was truly a moving sight. It was a small miracle made possible by the collaboration between the nursing home and Walkmate.
